| |  | Faith In Action“Putting God’s Spirit in Your Life to Work” |  | All students and community members are encouraged to attend or visit our Faith In Action Night.
The evening will begin with a short opening prayer, each commission chair will give a brief description of what their commission is working on, and then each commission will gather in the respective areas in the building to conduct their commission meeting.
Interested students and community members are invited to attend or just visit the commissions during this time with NO COMMITMENT. The evening concludes when the respective commission meeting ends. Listed blow is a brief outline of the Commissions here at St. T's and their different activities.

Please call the office by the Tuesday (by 9am) prior to the FIA Night. |  | Education Commission:Their mission: The Education Commission of St. Teresa's promotes the teaching mission of the Church by continually initiating, developing, encouraging, and evaluating programs of faith formation that nurture our relationships with Jesus Christ and with one another.
Their current programs: Baptismal Letter Program, Children’s Liturgy, Youth Ministry, GIFT (Growing in Faith Together – Family Faith Formation), and Adult Formation.
Liturgy Commission:Their mission: Our Liturgy Commission creates, develops, supports and implements programs for the spiritual life and growth of the St. Teresa community.
Their current programs: Music Ministry, Arts and Environment, Sacristan (set-up & clean-up after Mass), Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Bread Making, Hospitality Ministers (greeters), and Alter Servers.
Parish Life: Their Mission: The mission and purpose of the Parish Life Commission is to promote family life, to help build community at our center, support and work with the VU college students and their ministries and to work with and support the Youth Ministry. This Commission identifies the needs for social and communal activities and programs that will strengthen the faith community and give people a sense of belonging. The Commission collaborates with the other Commissions whenever possible in implementing programs.
Their current programs: Adopt a VU Student, The Amazing Race, Game Nights, Doughnut Sunday, Helping Hands Ministry, Funeral Luncheons Ministry, Young at Hearts, Parish Picnic, Trunk or Treating, and Sporting Events (Bowling, Softball, Golf Outing, family Baseball games, and Volleyball).
Social Justice Commission:Their Mission: The Social Justice Commission is committed to serving and educating students individuals, families, and communities, both within and outside of the parish community, and to advocate for social justice locally, regionally, nationally and globally.
Their current programs: Catholic Social Teachings, Café’ Manna, Food Baskets, Service Mission Trips, Rice Bowl, Offering of Letters (Advocacy to Congress), and Right to Life.
Spirituality Commission:Their mission: Our mission is to assist community members in enhancing their relationship with God, however that may be, by providing opportunities for spiritual growth in our ordinary, daily life outside of weekend liturgies.
Their current programs: The Spirituality Commission sponsors a number of activities throughout the year to help community members become closer to God. Some of the activities have included weekly reflections during Advent, Lent and Easter; Stations of the Cross and Tenebrae Service; the Women of the Bible presentation; Bible Study sessions and more. Also, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Ministry of Care, Women’s Spiritual Breakfast, Men’s Fellowship Breakfast.
Stewardship Commission:Their mission: Its members commit to furthering the word and work of Christ by caring for each other and God's entire creation. In gratitude, they joyfully return a portion of their God-given gifts of Time, Talent, and Treasure.
Their current programs: Building and Grounds, Welcoming Committee, Church Directory, and Financial Peace University.
