The Mission of St. Teresa of Avila

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Student Center is a vibrant, welcoming, Catholic community serving the students of Valparaiso University and our local families. We strive to provide a life-changing encounter with Christ as we CONNECT, GROW, and SERVE.

We do this by:

• Celebrating the Eucharist and other sacraments.

• Growing in our understanding of God's Word.

• Learning more about the Catholic Faith.

• Providing support and counsel to all who seek it.

• Sharing and enriching our faith through prayer and open discussion.

• Working for social justice in service to others.

• Preparing those who seek to receive the sacraments.

• Planning events to encourage community, fellowship, and recreation.

• Fostering growth in ecumenical understanding and appreciation.

• Respecting the diversity of all peoples.

• Living out our values and belief systems in light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
