Good Afternoon! I'm Jack Wittrock and I am the peer minister of community life for the 2022-23 school year! I am in charge of making events that bring the community together! I am a senior who was a meteorology major but may end with an individualized major that parallels with meteorology. I am excited to continue to build our community this year! I find that this community gives me strength when I am weak. Last year's peer ministers and friends/family are the ones who inspired me to take the leap and apply for peer ministry. In my free time I enjoy being with friends and family, fixing broken stuff, working on my car (I'm somewhat of a car enthusiast), and collecting vintage/antique electronics such as audio equipment, fans, and clocks. I also enjoy watching storms, running, driving on back roads, and riding a bicycle. My favorite saint is probably Saint Peter. Like myself and many of us, Saint Peter had some doubts, but he made a solid effort to trust, and even though he denied Jesus 3 times, Jesus continued to love and forgive him. His story demonstrates Jesus' love for all of us and Peter's continued effort reminds us of how when we fall we should get back up and not sit in sadness. I often have a bad habit of focusing too much on a mistake and not enough on what I'm going to do to fix it. The stories of Peter remind us that Jesus is always ready to forgive, and help us get back up!
